YOUTH & HIGH SCHOOL Tournament INFORMATION

4 vs 4 Tournament Information
  • 8 Courts
  • 4 Divisions

    • Grades 3rd - 4th

    • Grades 5th - 6th

    • Grades 7th - 8th

    • Grades 9th - 12th

Tournament Rules

  • 4-6 Athletes/Team (All Girls)

  • $90 Entry Fee / Team if registered by December 1st ($100 after)

  • Regular Volleyball Rulings

  • Games will be 2 sets to 21-points (if split, win will be determined by point-differential) or a 25 minute time limit.

  • NO COACHES

    • This is meant to be a competitive but fun tournament atmosphere so the athletes will coach themselves.

  • NO REFEREES

    • We will have MVP Coaches acting as court monitors and there will be a score-keeping team, but there will be no referees or line judges. We expect good sportsmanship to be shown by calling your own lines and net violations.

  •  Concessions will be available.

OTHER INFO:

  • Players can only play on 1 team throughout the tournament.
  • Players must follow service order established by the team captain at the start of the game.
  • Free substitutions may be used on a side-out into the center back position 
  • There are NO positional faults. Players are free to position themselves but service order must be maintained throughout the set.
  • No open handed tipping in front of the 10 foot line. (Roll shot or contact made by knuckles in front of 10 foot line is ok)
  • Pool play games will be 2 sets to 21points, must win by 2 with no scoring cap.
  • If teams split sets in pool play, the winner will be determined by point-differential.
  • There is a 25 minute time limit/match in pool play so play needs to keep moving!
  • First serve is determined by team captains (Rock, Paper, Scissors)
  • The work team listed on the schedule is responsible for keeping score (flipchart & paper). Work team does not have to line judge or ref!
  • The winning team MUST turn results into the tournament table immediately after the match is finished.
  • Teams are allowed one 30 second timeout per set.


PLAYER & SPECTATOR CONDUCT: 

  • All players & spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.
  • Any player or spectator displaying unsportsmanlike conduct will be given a verbal warning from the tournament director.
  • A second offense will cause the player or spectator to be ejected from the tournament.

Tournament Rules
  • 4-6 Athletes/Team  / Adult teams must have minimum of 2 Females on each team.

  • $90 Entry Fee / Team if registered by October 1st ($125 after)

  • NO REFEREES

    • Each court will have MVP Coaches acting as court monitors and there will be a score-keeping team, but there will be no referees or line judges. We expect good sportsmanship to be shown by calling your own lines and net violations.

  • Adult Division: 4 players on the court at one time with a minimum of 2 women on court at all times.
  • Adult Division will have men’s net height - 7’11 5/8
  • Girl Rule - Ball must contact a girl before going over the net.
  • Players must follow service order established by the team captain at the start of the game.
  • Free substitutions may be used on a side-out into the center back position - Adult division must have 2 women on court at all times.
  • There are NO positional faults. Players are free to position themselves but service order must be maintained throughout the set.
